FOR PARENTS & TEACHERS
Help us tell our school’s story 💛

Do you love our school? We’d love to hear why. A short testimonial from current families & teachers can make a big difference for new families deciding where to enroll.

More enrollment helps our school qualify for more funding and staffing, which benefits every student.

👉 Submit a quick testimonial here (We'll add it to the PTA website. Just 2–3 sentences is perfect!)

SPRING ART AUCTION
Help Make Our Spring Auction a Huge Success

Our biggest fundraiser of the year is coming up this spring, and we’d love your help! We’re looking for volunteers to support auction prep and make this event a success. Here are the volunteer roles we’re currently filling:

  • Assist with Grade Level Art Creation (grades 2, 3, 4 & 5): We are looking for parents to help create a piece of art with the students to auction off. You plan a piece of artwork and coordinate with the teachers to come to the classroom to have the students help work on the art piece. Last year artwork examples here.
  • Raffle Coordinator: Coordinator with teachers on basket ideas and have parents donate items
  • Technology: Payment Portal & E-wallet logistics
  • Graphic Designer
  • In Person Auction Lead
  • Online Auction Lead
  • Donation Procurement

SCHOOL PLAY
The Tortoise and the Hare

We’re excited to announce that we’ve secured a spring school play: The Tortoise and the Hare, taking place May 11–16! An outside theater group will lead rehearsals with students for one week, culminating in live performances at the end of the week. Students from all grade levels are encouraged to audition.

Auditions will be held on Monday, May 11, with rehearsals running Monday through Friday. Performances will take place on Friday and Saturday.

We’re also looking for a bit of extra support and would love your help with:

  • A parent volunteer to serve as the point of contact for volunteers during the week of the play

  • Assistance securing accommodations for the directors (for example, an Airbnb we could use for the week or access to hotel discounts)

If you’re interested in participating or volunteering, please reach out to volunteer@capitolhillpta.org to learn more.
