AUCTION
Big thank you to those who came to our recent PTA meeting. We are thankful that we have a few parents excited to lead this event, but we still need help filling some smaller roles leading up to and during the auction to make it happen:
- Assist with Grade Level Art Creation: Looking for parents at each grade level to help create a piece of art with the students to auction off. The parent/s of each grade, plan a piece of artwork and coordinate with the teachers to come to the classroom to have the students work on the art piece.
- Graphic Design: Looking for someone to help create a logo based on the event theme and create flyers, invitations, digital banner and day of program. This can be done at home after working hours.
- General Volunteers: Ad hoc volunteers to work with procurement, pick up donations, set-up, tear-down
PPS CLOTHING CENTER
- When: January 8 from 9:30 am-1:30 pm (Only have an hour? We’ll take it.)
- Where: Marshall HS Campus, 3905 SE 91st Ave. Rm B-60
We're seeking 5-6 people to sort clothes and help PPS families shop for clothing essentials.
The PPS Clothing Center is a free resource for all PPS families. If your family could use this service, please contact the CHE office to book an appointment.
SCHOOL PLAY
The last few years, the PTA has helped bring a school play to CHE. An outside theater group is hired who leads rehearsals with children for one week before the performance. We need a couple of volunteers to help facilitate this process before we can lock in this fantastic opportunity for our students.
- School Play Lead: Point of contact for the directors
- Stage Manager: Point of contact for volunteers the week of the play; secure accommodations needed for directors
Please contact Tabitha Ames and Jean-Francois Ortiz at volunteer@capitolhillpta.org if you'd like to learn more about any of these needs or other ways you may be able to help.
