Children's author and CHE parent Audrey Sauble is generously donating 30% of all sales of books, activity and coloring books, and stickers from this site to Capitol Hill Elementary's PTA!

The classroom that raises the most money in this fundraiser will win an in-person visit with the author to be some of the first kids ever to review one of her in-progress stories! Ensure your classroom gets credit by entering your student's teacher in the checkout.

Urgent Auction Volunteer Needs

Our annual auction is the biggest fundraiser for the Capitol Hill PTA. It has historically raised about $30k for the PTA which goes to directly support teachers & students.

This year, we've yet to secure Auction Lead(s) & Donation Lead to support this event moving forward. (While the event is in Spring, we need to get planning ASAP).

We have volunteers in place for many supporting roles, but cannot move forward unless we have these key leads for this event.

What's involved in these roles?

✏️ Auction Lead(s): High level person(s) in charge of overseeing and guiding the event. This does not mean you have to "do it all". You are in charge of planning of the event at a high level and helping guide volunteers (which our volunteer coordinators help find!) who all come together to put on this event. You can organize an in-person event or organize an online silent auction.

📦 Donation Lead: Can be done any hour of the day and is almost 100% email. Entails reaching out to a set list of businesses to request donations and organizing/tracking what donations we receive on a spreadsheet and in an easy-to-use database.

Please contact Tabitha Ames and Jean-Francois Ortiz at volunteer@capitolhillelementary.com if you'd like to learn more about any auction roles or other ways you may be able to help.

Volunteer Opportunities
Join the Capitol Hill PTA

The PTA helps make Capitol Hill Elementary such a special place — organizing the events and programs our students love. Joining is a great way to meet other families, stay informed, and support our teachers and school.

🔔 Reminder: Even if you were a member last year, please renew for the 2025–2026 school year.

All are welcome at our next PTA meeting — Wednesday, December 10, 6–7 p.m. You don’t need to be a member to attend or volunteer!
