Date: Saturday, March 8th

Time: Doors open at 2:00pm

Theme: Art Box: The Many Faces of Capitol Hill 

What is this event? A gallery opening and silent auction - a fresh and unique way to raise money for Capitol Hill Elementary (replacing the evening auction at the MJCC)

Can kids attend? Yes! Children of all ages are welcome.

How much is a ticket?: $20 per adult (students are free); food and drink will be available to purchase at the event 

When can I buy my ticket? Ticket info coming in February

Who attends the auction? Parents, students, siblings, staff members, grandparents, neighbors, friends ... everyone is welcome to come support our school!

I miss the old auction format - why is it changing? While we love a night out with fellow parents, we want to try something new for our biggest fundraiser of the year that is more accessible for everyone and centers our creative and amazing students. No expensive entry, no childcare required, no costume necessary, more money ending up in the hands of our teachers. 

How can I help? We need help with the following: 

• Food and beverage (coordination with vendors, day of coordination)
• Day-of setup and teardown 
• Auction items (see our December newsletter for ideas)

Did you know that every June our PTA provides a free yearbook to every single Capitol Hill student? To make that happen we need photos of our kids! 

If you have any photos taken:

• during a class field trip
• at a school activity or assembly 
• at a PTA event (Big Boo, Family Movie Night, Grand Friends Day, etc.)

Foothills Soccer Club has asked us to share that registration for their spring season is now open! 

Details:

• Cost is $75 for youth and $50 for preK/kindergarten
• Time commitment is one game per week on Saturdays (there are no weekday practices during the spring season)
• Games start April 5th and run through May 17th
• Registration Deadline is March 4th
  • Registering your players early is the best way to ensure they are on a team with their friends and desired coach (team rosters are finalized at the end of March)
• Foothills Soccer Club has merged fully with Jackson Soccer Club, so if your child played for Jackson in the past, access the Foothills website moving forward
